LA REALIDAD LABORAL EN REPUBLICA DOMINICANA

another mail I got....

El Hijo de Papi y Mami termina el bachillerato y no tiene ganas de estudiar nada.
Como el padre es un tipo de renombre, lo aprieta:

-Ah! ¿No quieres estudiar? Bueno, yo, vagos no mantengo, así que vas a trabajar. ¿Estamos?

El padre, que es un hombre con mucho dinero y enrolado en la politica y tiene algunos amigos políticos dada su larga trayectoria, trata de conseguirle un empleo y habla con uno de sus amigotes que están este momento en el poder y le dice:

- Rodríguez, ¿Te acuerdas de mi hijo? . Bueno, terminó el bachillerato y no quiere estudiar por ahora. Si puedes, necesitaría un puesto como para que empiece a trabajar mientras decide si va a seguir una carrera...El asunto es que haga algo y no ande de vago con los tigres, y así a ver si se compone y haga algo de provecho ¿me entiendes?

A los tres días llama Rodríguez:

- Tito, ya está. Asesor del Presidente de la Republica. Unos RD$ 120.000 por mes. Está lindo, ¿no?

- ¡No, Rodríguez! ¡Es una locura!, Recién empieza. Tiene que comenzar de abajo y con mucho dinero se hace peor.

A los dos días, de nuevo Rodríguez:

- Tito, ya lo tengo. Le conseguí un cargo de Asistente Privado de un Diputado. El sueldo es más modesto, de RD$ 75.000.

- ¡No, Rodríguez!, ¡Recién terminó el colegio! No quiero que la vida se le haga tan fácil de entrada. Quiero que sienta la necesidad de estudiar, ¿me entiendes?.

Al otro día:

- Tito, ahora sí, Gerente de Telecomunicaciones, ya está, claro que el sueldo se va muy abajo...serían $50.000 pesos, nada más.

- Pero Rodríguez, ¡por favor!, Consígueme algo más modesto. Recién empieza. Algo de 15,000 ó 16,000 pesos.

- No, eso es imposible, Tito.

-¿Por qué?

- Porque esos cargos son por concurso, necesita currículum, título universitario, haber hecho una maestría o un post-grado en el extranjero...antecedentes... y experiencia previa. O sea que para esos puestos no califica, tu hijo está jodido Tito.

This is so neat. I had never heard this before. This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty."

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Sur prising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger - the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least sha ll be the greatest among you." Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

Una vez más, hace mucho que no escribo.
Parecería que cada vez que voy a publicar no es más que para resumir lo que he hecho.
Ayer fue el baby shower de Tirso Rafael. Según mi ginecólogo, mi fecha problable de parto es el 23 de abril, y por ser el segundo, el momento podría llegar antes.
